It was entirely produced from analogue sources and vintage equipment, the old-fashioned way. From the record, through the 12bit sampler, straight to the 4-track. The cassette is a reminder of the medium of choice of this era.
Compressed and stretched typography mirrors the way Morti edits and layers his samples to create these beats. The grain and griminess of the visuals evokes the vibe and the ruggedness of the 90's hip hop scene. Using a 35mm camera, I captured the tape in a context that many call home.
