Chembur - Schematic Map
This schematic intends to create the map of Chembur, a suburb in Mumbai, by using a strong geometric visual language.
The angles used in the schematic convey the dynamism of the suburb and are consistent with the markers and the legend.
The Process:
I started by trying to re-create and identify the patterns created by the roads and landmarks of Chembur, by tracing over Google maps.
Through this, I was able to visualize an angular pattern emerging from the network of roads and observe a geometric placement of landmarks like gardens.
I decided to highlight this geometric visual language in my schematic.
