photosession —— 2018
BONNY YARD
That was an unplanned urban landscape photo session, as all tourist taking pictures of everything around them just for memories usually do. And only while walking around the magnificent city of St. Petersburg an idea occurred to me:
“Why don’t I take some nice portrait photos?”
And then it began...

St. Petersburg, Russia
“St. Petersburg was already described a long time ago, but what wasn’t described you need to see yourself”
I. Goncharov
I still think that the most interesting photos are usually taken in new places, unknown to a photographer and a model, because in such case the marvelous amazement of new places, cheerful mood and genuine emotions of both participants are kept during the session.
We discovered new places of mysterious St. Petersburg, backyards fenced by creative habitants and once again we were amazed by the contrast and the cultural richness of the northern capital.
When you walk along a neat boulevard illuminated by luxurious shop windows and suddenly turn at a corner to a dark yard, the whole picture changes drastically, but the thrill that the entourage gives you remains.
Walking around we came across a couple, who looked like urban hippies. They were painting doors and hanging self-made plaques. We had a look into the yard and discovered a little India: photos of Hindu temples were hung all around, portraits of yoghis, landscapes of Goa state.
High glass paintings opened view to vast halls, where seven girls were practicing asanas to the accompaniment of traditional South East music.
St. Petersburg is a great shooting area with decorations to any taste and epoch. White nights give a photographer marvelous views on the Neva river and the name card of northern Palmyra – the drawbridges. I guess a new photo session is coming soon.
“As for me, Peter The Great was the most outstanding Russian painter, who painted a wonderful city in his imagination and created it on the huge canvas of nature”
