The MeetMarket series focuses on the exchange that occurs between males and females in a romantic relationship. In this exchange, sex can be treated as a valued good in a marketplace in which women act as sellers and men as buyers. The series highlights female characters that exchange sex as a means to obtain other resources. It endeavors to show the correlation between the stories and modern day relationship exchange. The connection between the female characters and current dating websites exposes the enduring corruption of womens’ value in society and contemplates alternative means of exchange for women.
