My final assigment for fall semester Foundation Drawing was "Six Levels of Pain." I focused on the idea of grief, specifically loneliness and emptiness, trying to convey the feeling of being alone in an empty house late at night.

The house is a 1/2 scale model of my own house, except with the outside doors replaced by windows. The ink textures represent parts of my house that are particularly saturated with the past.

House Alone. Bristol paper, museum board, and ink, each floor roughly 18" x 24" x 4".
