But through design, EMspec has sought to make clocks not just machines of precision, but to endow them with the means of easing our lives.

Design Concept

SWIRL is an innovation in floor clock design that draws time away from pointers and numbers. The skilful use of 12 light discs divided into two parts represent the hours and minutes. Each disc has a different colour temperature and unique position to illustrate the time. At the beginning of each hour, the discs illuminate a cascading light pattern, signifying a new hour. Sophisticated and elegant, SWIRL adds a beautiful aesthetic to your interior space while also being a functional timepiece.

EMspec designers aim to transform diverse elements into simple and balancing aesthetic,

turning clocks into the most treasured beauty in space.

The stainless steel tube is hand polished by master craftsmen.
A golden metal ring made by a CNC diamond cutting machine surrounds the candle-shaped light disc.
There is a hairline texture of anodized aluminium with a gold colour on the surface of each ring.

The swirl clock's glass base is made with a special reflective coating to make it more appealing.

Remote Control

With built-in Bluetooth, you can use your smartphone as a remote control.
(Including the hourly light show, auto-time adjustment, default/multi-light mode, on/off, brightness adjustment)

Process

Swirl clock is almost entirely handmade with extreme craftsmanship.
It redefines the role of clocks in interior spaces and transforms the clock into a touching modern aesthetic.
