This is Raden Adjeng Kartini, a national hero from Java, Indonesia. She was also a pioneer in the area of education for girls and women's right for Indonesians. I made this illustration to commemorate Kartini's day on April 21 which is also her birthday on April 21, 1879. One of my favorite quotes of her is "There are so many things that can bring you down, but the only thing that can really do so is your own demeanor."
