Wherever I go I try to carry a sketchbook with me, to not only capture still life moments and quick figure drawings, but also to have a place to release the scramblings of my mind. Most of the work I do in my sketchbook is not planned and more reactive to what my brain is thinking of at the time.
My sketchbook is also a place for rough ideas, fleeting words, and tonal studies.
