This campaign was developed in response to the alarming increase of HIV positive patients diagnosed in the Southeast. Due to cultural stigmas, Alabama and the surrounding states have a higher than average rate of new infections; even more alarming over 50% of these new diagnoses are of AIDS within in the first year after the HIV diagnosis. The intent of this campaign centered around educating the community on HIV as not just a "gay" disease; that the new infection rate among heterosexuals and non IV drug users is on the rise.
Campaign Materials: This campaign consisted of a poster, radio spots and a series of 4 two sided coasters that messaging that you don't have to be gay, single, young/old or an HIV drug user to be at risk for HIV.
