During my studies at UMPRUM in Prague I was asked to design the visual identity of the exhibition in the
end of the semester, called ARTSEMESTR. That visual identity included the design of posters, invitations, the orientation inside of the buildings and two banners that have been placed in front of the school.
end of the semester, called ARTSEMESTR. That visual identity included the design of posters, invitations, the orientation inside of the buildings and two banners that have been placed in front of the school.
My inspiration was drawn simply from the school's ground plan since I was excited to study at an art school where so many artistic disciplines are gathering in one building. Not wanting to neglect each field's peculiarity
I distorted that ground plan then and added the analogue typography and the abstract illustration. I wanted to build a contrast between a quite edgy and modern design and the old beautiful building. The color however is again the school's corporate color which I used not to lose visual context.
