Problem
The scope of this project was to illustrate a book based on a short story. I fell upon this particular ballad while I studied abroad in Galway, Ireland where I had the opportunity to hear a great deal of storytelling. Although this story isn't Irish, I was inspired to use it for my book.
Solution
My final product is a 50+ page book, broken into stanzas to correspond with the full-page illustrations. My illustrations are mixed media.
