Packaging : Board Game

Brief
Most board games' packaging are boxes. I wanted to design a board game packaging which was out of the box, literally.

Observations-
Kids love to play with imagination.
They mimic their favourite experiences while enacting desired personalities and objects.
Things dear to them are carried closely and flaunted.

Prototype
A major drawback of this packaging  was creases of folds on the game board. So this form was finalized but the idea of printing the game inside of the packaging was dropped. This idea can be easily used for other board games where creases won’t matter.

Final Renders
The packaging has filleted edges to smoothly enter the caps.
The caps have foam inside them, with cutouts for securely holding the dice and the players inside the package.
Rexine mat with back to back printed board games.
Model
Addition of a nylon carrying strap enhanced the overall ergonomics of the package.
