Palazzo Roverella

Palazzo Roverella: web design for culture  ––––––

The purpose of any museum is to preserve its own collection, to modernize the presentation and to preserve the artwork for future generations and at the same time, encourage the interest of potential visitors. It’s browsing the website that you start planning the visit, getting information about recent or past exhibitions and receiving explanations about the permanent collection or upcoming events.

Palazzoroverella.com is an integrated part of the museum itinerary and it represents the first contact for several interlocutors: from families visiting the city museum to the teacher planning the visit for the class.
There's a continuous interaction with the user who begins before the visit and continues beyond the visit.
The website becomes an exhibition space, an integrated museum hall and an informative website characterized by tailor-made information to satisfy the needs and expectations of visitors who become increasingly sophisticated, a portal for those who visit and do not visit the museum.

Working side by side with the customer, we were able to analyze which were the main pain points within the old interface. Leaving aside the purely aesthetic, there was a need to bring greater emphasis on the museum cut that the site required, highlighting the exhibits and providing a service that would allow visitors to immediately enjoy the beauty of what awaited them. Finding the right informations and the ability to easily purchase tickets have been among the main focus of the user experience. Our main focus has been trying to improve especially the performance on mobile, turned out to be very incisive in terms of turnout.
