Inspired by pegboard trends seen on Pinterest and in retail stores such as Urban Outfitters, this pegboard aims to be unique with different shaped holes.
The pegboard was designed and mocked up on Illustrator initially where the content was created simultaneously. It was then created on CAD where it was ready to be sent to the waterjet cutting machine and cut in house. Each piece was then sanded, varnished and carefully installed onto the wall.
Post-it notes are provided as well as small pencils so visitors can answer a design question. This makes visitors feel involved with the School and gets prospective students thinking as designers.
Different shaped slots allow for A5 hand outs to sit in the pegboard for visitors to take away with them. The larger rectangular slot is intended one day for an Ipad showing videos of the School.
All content for the wall was created on Illustrator using the School's branding guidelines.
The pegboard has the opportunity to be updated easily with new information / a new design question so it keeps up to date. The content can be rearranged to give a whole new look to the board.
