'Skyline' Side Tables

The tables were a result of a two week experiment of screen printing and CNC cutting. I wanted to play with the juxtaposition of screen printing/drawn image and the line formed by the edge of the plywood.
The inspiration for the tables came from the idea of rotational movement and the images formed as a result, similar to a phenakistoscope or a 'spindle viewer'.
The table top is composed of two layers with the top one being fixed, allowing different 'panoramas' to emerge when rotating the bottom layer.
