Since the Boat People in the 70s, there are thousands of Vietnamese people nowadays still find one way or another to flee from the country in the name of "international student". But as an international student, we are not officially exiled by the country, and I have benefited from the education and the society that I stayed. Despite the benefit I have from Canada, it's never the land that has nurtured me. There is always the culture that is missing in the everyday life. I am usually asked by my people and the native if I am going to stay or go back after finishing my studies. I don't think it's my power to answer that question.
