Yandex Illustration Style Exploration. Part 2
I continued to explore abstract forms within the realm of Emotional Illustration style, daringly venturing into the realm of potential user disinterest in pursuit of artistic expression.
Drawing from the innovative works of Jean Arp, I explored organic and fluid shapes, allowing them to gracefully interweave and connect, giving birth to a symphony of harmonious forms. At the same time, Paul Klee's profound influence inspired me to experiment with lines.
The quest for artistic balance was at the heart of this creative endeavor. As I ventured into the realm of abstract representation, I was keenly aware of the risk of disconnecting users from the artwork.
To address this, I thoughtfully introduced subtle recognizable elements, such as enigmatic faces and delicate human silhouettes, strategically placed to maintain a profound connection with the audience.
These artistic anchors served as points of reference, guiding users through the abstract landscapes and instilling a sense of familiarity and wonder.
As a consequence, and as attested by numerous studies and surveys, the initial iteration of emotional illustrations emerged as the clear victor.
Nonetheless, even the inaugural version from 2018 marked a groundbreaking milestone in the realm of corporate illustration, foreshadowing a trend that would span the course of five years in this domain.
