Coursera's 2018 Partners Conference Rebrand

For Coursera's 2018 Partners Conference, I did a complete rebranding to better align the conference brand with Coursera's main brand. Previously, we had used the host school's colors, which changed from year to year, meaning nothing could be reused and a lot of design resources were being wasted.
I pulled two blues from Coursera's main brand and paired them with two richer, more collegiate tones to represent the university partner community, the attendees of this conference. I wanted a way to visually demonstrate the coming together of these two groups, which is what Partners Conference is all about.
This event is a celebration of our achievements together with partners, our learner's achievements, and a look to the future. I wanted to express this by leaning into Coursera's 'Vibrancy' brand attribute and incorporating Coursera's brand shapes and patterns into Partners Conference branding.
Overall this rebrand was a huge success. We received a lot of positive feedback from partners about the new conference experience and were able to invest in high-impact staging and materials we can re-use, while cutting down on the design resources needed each year.
