Music Video for NASA Project Mars Competition

This is a piece that I wrote and a short video that I cut to accompany it for the 2018 NASA Project Mars contest.

Project Mars is focusing on the future exploration missions that will rely on the new Orion spacecraft that is currently going through the final testing stages and preparing for manned flights. I tried — mostly by the means of music but also using the combination of archive and new videos and simulations — to superimpose such seemingly incomparable things as (human) life and vast space objects like stars, planets and galaxies.

This video was also hugely inspired by Sean Carroll’s book “The Big Picture” that touches of deep philosophical topics like origin of life, history of universe and future of the humanity beyond Earth.

Thanks for watching!
