Poker Mahjong
The inspiration is from the way of diet,living and entertainment in Sichuan.Born in Sichuan,I grow up without leaving hot pots and mahjong.Mahjong is not unique in Sichuan,so I wanted to combine mahjong and Sichuan hot pot to design a set of Sichuan mahjong for young people.
Due to the large amount of ingredients,I was a bit confused in the beginning.Later,I categorized the shape of the ingredients,and found many objects in round and long strip shape exactly matching the pattern of "Tong" and "Tiao" in mahjong.
In mahjong,"Wan" different from the other two types of cards is composed of Chinese characters.So I thought of the homonym in Chinese."Wan" pronounces similarly with "bowl",and Sichuan noodle is also a feature,so I design the pattern of "Wan" into "a bowl of noodles".

As the original mahjong was heavy and inconvenient to carry,it was generally only possible to play mahjong at home or in a teahouse.Therefore,I thought of making mahjong into the form of poker cards so that for easy carrying when travelling.That's how I made "poker mahjong".
