Day 4. Ping
Ping is a fictional growing chat platform for businesses and small teams.
Compare with other big competitors, such as Slack and Skype, Ping offer major features like group screen sharing, free of charge.
Client mentions the logo needs be text-based, focused on the work Ping.
They also wants to avoid from blues as its color scheme shares with various competitors.
I design the logo to capture both chat platform and sharing.
It was difficult to implement sharing icon into the logo felt clustered and chaotic.
I decided to have some negative space on the letter P and utilized with the letter i.
I thought about leaving the bottom circle in a negative space or removing it completely.
However the logo did not fully visualize the share icon.
In the end, I put the same size of circle in alignment with the message bubble to create a sense of stability.
Orange symbolizes energy and while pink symbolizes understanding.
I believe in order to be successful, one needs to be understanding while possess energy to strive forward.
I specifically combines two colors as a harmony for a successful business chat platform.
