Below something about the process, which exceeded the planned amount of work (a bit).

This leads to an unique appearance for each day. Some are empty, because somehow no data was tracked then.
Countries are in their sizes relative to the distance travelled within it.
And last but not least the color conversion into patterns. So it appears not like a childrens birthday party. And even more cluttered, what I really welcome in this visualisation.
This leads to the final layout. Each year would have a different appearance.
And of course, all the details would only be visible on the full size F4 format.
