MUDE
Rebranding the Museum of Design and Fashion
MUDE is the portuguese Museum of Design and Fashion, that opened doors recently in the downtown
of Lisbon.
Trying to find what can be a national identity in design and basing on a brief study on portuguese visual culture, I ended up finding a lot of portuguese cobblestone and patterns, which are very particular and characteristic, on the streets around the museum.
In the end, the approach was to take those traditional icons and give it a contemporary aesthetics, transforming the red and green in two neon colors.

This was just an exercise project, developed at Willem de Kooning Academy, Hogeschool Rotterdam.
