BEERHIVE is a Chicago based brewery looking
to make a real buzz in the industry!
After a full head to toe branding and only a few weeks until print, our budget was cut to shreds. We could no longer afford to print on the can or use a shrink wrap, saving us from a full redesign. The budget cut turned out to be a gift and a curse. While redesigning for our now sticker labels, I was able to further uncover hidden beauty and it changed just about everything. This was a perfect example of an

Another conceptual obstacle we referred to as THE HONEY FACTOR. One might assume that a beverage using beehive puns, would contain honey ingredients or honey flavoring. BEERHIVE has neither. So although we waned to keep the beehive theme, the branding had to stay honey-free. I chose to use a palette with range and only nodded at bee culture by using a discarded can tab as a buzzing bee, occasionally navigating its way through the creative
