3 Great Healthy Smoothie Recipes

"A juice a day keeps the Doctor at bay" isn't too far from the truth - many Doctors recommend that we have at least one smoothie a day to keep our bodies and minds working properly.

Whether you're on our SimpleSlim programme, or simply looking to be healthy, here are 3 smoothie recipes that you should try:

Pinky:

INGREDIENTS
Handful of raspberry
½ banana
1 tbsp rice yogurt
1 thumb-sized piece of ginger 
2 apples

METHOD

Juice the 2 apples and the piece of ginger. Then place the half a banana, raspberries, yogurt and the juice in a blender and blitz for two minutes until completely smooth.

Green Giant:

Perfect for when you need a top up of vitamins
INGREDIENTS
Handful of Spinach
Handful of kale
1 tsp wheatgrass
1/4 banana
1 pear
1 tbsp rice yogurt 
1 avocado
1 tsp. water

METHOD

Juice the pear. Then place the avocado, spinach, kale, wheatgrass powder, banana, rice yogurt, water and pear juice in the blender. Blitz for 2 minutes until completely smooth.

Blues Buster:

INGREDIENTS
1 handful blueberries
1/2 banana
2 tbsp soya yogurt 
200ml rice milk
100ml apple juice (freshly juiced)

METHOD

Blitz until smooth
