Bubble - 100% Vector - 4 Different Software Comparative

1. Adobe Fireworks (Adobe) - PC & Mac / Screen design

2. Sketch (Bohemian Coding) - Mac / Screen design

3. Affinity Designer (Serif) - Mac / Screen and Print design

4. Gravit (Gravit GmbH) - Browser based

This is a comparative of 4 vector software through the reproduction of the same element.
I also show the wireframe so you can see the way its built (sorry I couldn't find how to do this for Sketch).

I've been a Fireworks user for a lifetime, and to my opinion there is still no package that can compare to it when it comes to quality of results with vectors, except for masking which is quite bad comparing to these other two.

However, Sketch and Affinity Designer are doing almost just as good for the rest.

If anyone is wondering why I didn't use Illustrator, I can only say I don't like it at all, so I don't use it if I can avoid it. And the good news is that, everyday it's getting easier to avoit it! :D

The interesting thing about this 4 pieces of software is not only the results they deliver for vectors, but also how short is the learning curve. Using them is quite intuitive and easy.

As a matter of fact, it was my first time using Sketch when I did this bubble, and the same has been for Affinity Designer and Gravit.

Lastly, I can say I am very happy to see better software is being developed by others than the old school, and this can only be good for us designers.
