For my notebook cover design I wanted something that expressed my interest in space, used a contrast of colors, and displayed my name as part of the illustration. Artistically, I used a contrast of grays and a foreground to background connecter to provide depth while retaining focus on the astronaut and the name. Through my cover I wanted to show my name as something that was connected to the drawing, rather than something tacked onto another image. This idea used angles and depth to create an interesting image that tied into the name.
