This was created as an 'inside joke' with my 10 year old daughter. When she was very little, she pronounced breakfast as ‘brukfast’ and it has stuck ever since within our family. Cooking has never been a strong point of mine.  I can do it, but I do not really enjoy it.  My daughter will often lovingly ask me to make her "Mum's Waffles" as if it is a special family recipe of some sort.  Truth is....I am lazy and it is just a bagged Costco waffle mix that I add water to!  Very similar to my other famous recipes (mum's microwave popcorn, mum's peanut butter toast!).  None the less, my daughter's kind words make me feel like a domesticated goddess :)
