Volcano's Music

Volcano's Music.
On the 29th of September, 2016, the Turrialba Volcano made its worst eruption in 20 years. Ash columns emanated from its crater and contaminated the primary aqueduct of the zone, affecting crops and cattle. To help, we joined forces with Costa Rica’s Philharmonic Orchestra, and worked on the composition of a musical piece created from the eruption’s seismic records.
More than 70 musicians of the Costa Rican Philharmonic Orchestra gave life to this musical play. It was premiered at a charity concert to help the town. Later, we sold the song for a limited time on the Orchestra’s website. The composition also aired on radio stations.
To promote this event we created a collection of posters, painted by hand using volcanic ashes as watercolor.
Finally, we created a video clip to promote the online sales.
