Space Nation - Icons and cards

Team Synergizer Badges

These images are used to illustrate the topic of the mission inside the game Team Synergizer. During the game, the user has to assign a crew to three different missions, balancing their capabilities and relationships to fulfill the skill requirements in the most efficient way. The following icons correspond to the first batch of 9 missions available.

First Things First Badges

These icons are for the Weekly Adventure variation game, First Things First, where the Wayfarer's crew replies to TRAPPIST-b's research station cry for help. These icons represent the different missions: protecting the equipment, stabilizing the reactor and evacuating the staff.

Motivational Toolbox activity slots

During the Weekly Adventure game, Motivational Toolbox, the Commander has to choose how to spend time with her/his crewmates by selecting the most fitting activities for each member. Time can be spent with activities of different categories, represented by these icons below. From left to right: speaking and discussing, eating together, giving them a present, physical activities, motivational talk, relaxing activities. Inside each category, some options are going to be well-regarded by some team members, others will be neutral and some will worsen the relationship.

Flameout round start cards

In the game Flameout you have to memorize the codes to shut down areas affected by fire and technical malfunctions before all the ISS is affected by it. You need to perform your safety mesures during 3 rounds, ordered by priorities. From left to right, the first line represents your actions by order of importance: save the crew, save the station and protect the equipment. The second line has the two possible outcomes of the game: mission successful or mission failed.

Repair the Wayfarer round start cards

In week 9 for Weekly Adventures, Flameout has an in-story version. The idea is the same as the original minigame, but the context changes and the emergency takes place insided the Wayfarer ship instead of the ISS. Therefore, the cards uses in the original game are replaced by these new priorities during the rescue operations: protect the life support systems, protect the spaceship integrity and save the equipment. The last two pictures represent success or failure in the game.

Narrative Cards for Weekly Adventures

Narrative cards are pictures are meant to be used as thumbnails identifying the active mission in the Weekly Adventure section, in Space Nation Navigator app. They are also used to illustrate the mission description in the detail view, prior to starting the game.

Here is a selection of these Narrative Cards for contents from week 1 to 10.

Game GPS Alert illustration

Images to be used in the games and activities where the Space Nation Navigator App requires an activated GPS (such as physical challenge games).

Mission Result App Badges

This art is aimed to give feedback at the end of a mission, used inside the application in modal windows and dialog boxes. The style is closer to the sprites in game and represent the Commander (that is to say, the player). From left to right, they correspond to the states of: "are you sure you want to abort the mission?", "Mission successful" and "Mission failed".
