Wrapped: A comic on Plastic consumerism

Plastic has become an essential and omnipresent commodity in today's urban lifestyle. The properties that make plastic a viable packaging material, like durability and versatility, also make it non-biodegradable thus making it last in our environment forever. Plastic's rising demand in many industries, subsequently is causing a steady increase in plastic waste generated.
A large portion of this waste is constituted of packaging material such as wrappers and foodstuffs. Keeping in mind the accelerated plastic consumption rates and decrease of the recycling business, solutions for tackling plastic pollution could be found at the consumer level.
Wrapped, the comic book looks at our growing usage of fast moving consumer goods like packaged food and toiletries and the reason for such usage: convenience. It is a story of a young man living in a metropolitan city and the events that follow, after the environment and all those affected by plastic waste decide to stop taking in the waste created by him. What happens when he has to take responsibility for and bear the burden of his waste himself?
This book also talks about a 'zero waste' lifestyle and what it takes to lead one. Is it possible that plastic pollution, in addition to being a problem of a harmful material, also a problem of our habits of consumption?
