I had the opportunity to be Animation Supervisor for this bold new campaign by the British Army, alongside a team of amazing designers and animators at We Are Royale.
Taking on the role of lead animator for this spot on faith, I had the chance to tackle animation with a strong narrative focus for the first time in a long while. First off, our designers had created some truly beautiful, moving imagery. So with each shot of the script, my task was to figure out how to breath life and movement into the frame without taking away from the brilliance of the artwork (ie: don't screw it up, Mike). It was a difficult task, but being able to craft each shot of this sequence and see it all come together was very rewarding.
