MANIFESTO OF FUTURISM
This expermiental book is a personal approach for Manifesto of Futurism. Denying the past was the most radical point of futurism, and the book has been influenced heavily
by this concept since the future cannot exist without the past.
Each point is symbolised by a painting or graphics. All of these were
made before futurism.
The manifesto’s points are made up of Garamond and Futura where past is
represented with Garamond and future with Futura. Thus each point consists
of two numbers that symbolise a continuous movement which alludes to futurism.
After the ninth point the sequence changes to hexadecimal to refer the
futurists “desire” of progression.
Inasmuch as I do not agree with most of the futurist conceptions
(besides its innovative intentions) the texts in this version of the manifesto
are purposely displayed as an unreadable fabric. This way the outlined form of the fabric reflects to the points of the texts.
Every single point has a whole page in the book. These pages were
mounted on a solid cardboard, so it can have an impression of an encyclopaedia.
