Arne Meyer's profile

Worte—Unworte

Since 1971 the German language society elects the word and since 1991 the un-word of the year. Students at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Hanover created a series of posters dealing with those words and their positive and negative connotations.
A final exposition at the Museum August Kestner in Hanover exhibits the results. The artwork plays with the different meanings of those words being coined by people or special events. Black and white shapes and letters share borders with each other and even mix up creating a touching point between good and bad.
