Voyage
Poster and book cover design proposal for the 1741 work of Joseph Pitton de Tournefort "Voyage into the Levant". Part of this greater work is this book, containing the ancient and the 18th century state of the islands of the Aegean Archipelago. It is considered a book of special interest for the Greek audience, as it describes the geography and the life of people in areas of modern Greece, before the war of independence, through the eyes of a person inspired by the ideals of Enlightenment. Darkness and light, the basic shapes that are forming the aegean landscape shining under the light, was the basic concept for the illustration of this book.
