MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS
In this project I make series of portraits of at least three generations of women within one family. I portrait each woman together with a photo of her own mother, starting with the eldest living generation. In that way I create a family portrait with all generations gathered in the last image.
I started this project in the beginning of 2018 and it's still running. I've got about 40 participating families. I'm nearly finished with portraying the eldest generations.
Besides the portraits I allso make images of the hands of the women, as to me they reflect the experience, wisdom and age.
