SPANX | Retail store environment
Spanx was on a new venture to develop their own retail environment after being in the direct mail and mass retail space. With solid brand knowledge and guidance I was able to heavily contribute to the overall merchandising strategy in this brand experience. With so many similar items to promote, it was essential to maintain order. Clear/concise communication, and a strategic messaging hierarchy were developed to assist consumers to the product they need. Overall this is a impressive shopping experience that does showcase the brand without needing the name above the door.

With the need for an ever structured shopping experience a deep dive was initiated to enhance the product information on all lines. There was a need for multiple "vehicles", that contained style benefits, and worked with the variety of on-hanger challenges. As you will see above a consistent, simplified tag style was designed all through: shape, fabric and key information.

As we all know when shopping in the retail environment there is much information to be conveyed. Within the foundations category there is a generous amount of product description/benefits offerd to the consumer. As you will see pictured above, a in-depth explore was performed, with various materials, (as hang tags) to ensure easy access to sizing information and offer orderly retail experience that ultimately compliments the product.

With further explore into the mass retail environment(s) it was identified that the Spanx brand was secondary to its product line extensions. A simply designed hang tag, in the signature red, was able to prioritize the brand and bring it to the forefront before the individual style names.
