Pina Bausch is the greatest performer and choreographer of contemporary dance.

The person, who devoted all her life to dance, she worked hard and deep with her emotions and feelings transforming experiences into a heartfelt movement. 

Because the material she was using for work was so personal we perceive each dance is like self-knowledge.

From 1973, Bausch became an artistic director of the Wuppertal Opera ballet, which was later renamed as the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch. During the life she was accumulating dancers from all over the world in a team and working in collaboration.

To me, Pina Bausch is the embodiment of a movement, bewitching and fascinating. Somebody who has transformed the whole concept of dance.
