This is among my most meaningful & fulfilling works. I worked with two student clubs at once (Pacific Islander Club and Hui O Hawai’i), which closely reflects a more collaborative approach to client work that can be obtained through the gateway of in-house work at the APCC. We discussed our needs and created a versatile identity system that worked across many deliverables (tickets, UHDS/MU televisions, ground signs, and flyers). Our collaboration helped us find effective and culturally informed solutions. As someone who also performed and volunteered at the event, I felt a close kinship to those who I served, and I’m very happy and proud to have helped some underrepresented people put on an authentic, impassioned celebration of all things Pasifika.
