Sometimes we take a plate to put some small items  when we go home, we get used to getting the keys and the change in your pocket and dropping it into the plate. When you throw your groceries into the receiving tray, you can also be surprised to find that there is a coin hole at the bottom of the tray to receive your scattered coins.
