TKEĊNIR is an international project of artistic research focusing on kitchens in Malta. It includes domestic kitchens from all over the Maltese islands and belonging to people or various ages and background, communal kitchens such as that of the detention centre for illegal immigrants, unowned kitchens sitting in a showroom waiting for the right customer to buy them, office kitchenettes, commercial kitchens like restaurants and 'food factories', abandoned kitchens in derelict buildings and others.
