Daily Days & Daily Lives
Woke up today late again
Out the door just in time to catch my crowded train,
Got an early class at 10am
Rushing to college and the daily routine’s the same,
Still got an assignment left to do
Will to finish in between a class or two,
Classes start usually like they do
Goes on for hours or so,
Well I know what I’ve been told
I got to work to feed the soul
But I play along with my quirk
And enjoy a few laughs in between work,
Noticing a girl fiddling with her hair
Bright lights, spinning fans, a window beyond a world seeming less to care,
The teacher still goes on at the board
I ponder with my distant thoughts alone,
At the sudden news of a 10 minutes break
That stirs my sleeping spirits with a shake,
Enjoying the company of my companion tiffin box
Chowing down every content with repeated looks at the clock,
I feel like I don’t wanna study anymore
Cause I’m already too much bored,
Then the teacher says a class test’s next day
How I wonder could I end this right away,
To my misfortune anyway
Why does college have to end so late?
But every day meets its end soon
Mine came too,
I have to go home now
Just like the sun’s setting among the clouds,
End up in the auto with my friends
Jokes and laughs along the way,
And before I know I'm home
Too tired to study anymore,
My heavy eye lids
Feels the gentleness of the sleepy nights,
Just like my poems at its end
Tomorrow’s the same all over again..!
