A is for Abolitionism is a book about modern slavery, that seeks to inspire a new generation of abolitionists. Structured through The Anti-Slavery Alphabet, printed in 1846 Women’s Abolitionist Fair in Philadelphia, it shows the similarities between the past and the present of slavery, its proximity, and our active role in its perpetuation.

More that 200 years after the last abolitionist wave amongst colonies and new states, slavery is rife all over the world. The book goes over every concept of the original alphabet, drawing a constant parallel between the past and the present, aiming to break the collective imaginary of slavery. To close the cycle, the alphabet was reedited as a newspaper, as a mean of dissemination to raise awareness.
