Le Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, the world's largest and most reputable jazz festival, wanted to break free from its longstanding static imagery and launch into 2017 with a much more dynamic visual identity. The studio imagined a completely new aesthetic that embodied the widening definition of jazz. The idea was to generate colourful and abstract patterns that emulate movement. The approach interprets the energy and creativity of jazz and ascribes the FIJM with a decidedly more current look and feel. A vibrant expression with an exponential impact.
