In 1999 and 2000, I worked on the combat AI for MechWarrior 4: Vengeance at Microsoft Game Studios. I was responsible for developing the tactical controllers, heat system management, situational awareness, target selection, weapon selection, dead reckoning, bot scripts, and squad and lancemate AI. I also added extensive debugging support, diagnostics, new scripting language features, and statistics.
I also helped out a lot on the design side, assisting mission designers in script development and debugging and designing and developing two of the game’s missions.
