Adobe Hidden Treasures: Poster
Adobe created some new Typefaces based on old sketches and unpublished letter fragments from legendary Bauhaus students and masters. This is my submission for the second Contest.

Carl Marx was a student at Bauhaus Dessau after completing an apprenticeship as a decoration painter.
He made sketches to this typeface in his first year at the Bauhaus school of design in the class of Joost Schmidt and was part of the group that tried to revive the Bauhaus after World War II.

So you can say he is one of the last advocates of the Bauhaus which turned out to be my inspiration for this poster.

The aim was to add the lively and warm touch of Marx's sketches to the whole design and to re-interpret the famous Bahaus ideas of geometry, proportion and color.
The typeface was recreated by Hidetaka Yamasaki in corporation with Erik Spiekermann.
