Once I've got some brief from Russian retail company which produces some stuff for artists and designer.  The brief was "we need a new design for our sketchbooks". So, it is a really common behavior of Russian retail companies to give you a task without any detail. 

The mane of that company is connected with well-known Russian Avant-garde artist. That became the starting point for my research and final designs. 

Although the first things that went to my mind were the simple shapes of constructivists paintings, I decided to reduce this idea and try to find some solution in another period of the painting of that artist. Finally, I designed a series of colorful covers which is not the straight cite but really could be recognizable.
