Below are several versions of a baby shower invite I recently desiged for a co-worker. It is intended to be a whimsical illustration that lovingly pokes fun at the mom-to-be by exaggerating some of her characteristics and quirks. I drew the original sketch and then traced and colored the illustration in Adobe Illustrator. After the first version, the look of the woman in the illustration was changed to make her look more like the mom-to-be, and the color of the balloons was changed to celebrate the news that she is having a boy. The text alongside the image was written by my co-worker. This was a very fun project to work on, as I love to create lighthearted and colorful invitations.
