Tribute is an urn for my recently passed dog Breta that is inspired by images of immaculate light and spirituality. It is a project that holds more personal significance than most projects that I've worked on, as it is the tangible end to Breta's two and a half year journey with brain cancer. The endeavor itself was a parting farewell in addition to a way of immortalizing her memory at home. The look is partly inspired by Breta, with elements of her fur coat becoming a part of the aesthetic.  The inscription plate has many meanings, both as a radiant light that never dissipates and the flow of light moving upwards, as if a spirit is moving on to a better life.
Breta passed away at the front of Lake Michigan in Chicago, a place she always loved to visit. A parting ceremony was held, where some of her ashes were scattered into the lake.
