YOUR ENEMIES' STRENGTHS MAY BE THEIR ONLY WEAKNESS

After a record killing of rhinoceros in early 2011, the WWF decided it was time to bring this senseless poaching to an abrupt halt. Conventional routes proved futile, but throwing a curveball at the implacable Chinese would provide the necessitated results. The answer lay at the heart of Eastern beliefs, Taoism. In Chinese culture, there are three words that must not be pronounced: four, fourteen, and one hundred and fifty-four. Their Mandarin translation means: die, I die, I will die respectively. It is easily understandable why these dreaded figures are absent from house numbers, building floors and even vehicle number plates. Using this superstitious fear as a driving force, a disinformation campaign was devised, linking these numbers to the deaths of rhino
horn consumers.

TEXT
When 4 Chinese businessmen were found dead in their office on the morning of April 15th, preliminary reports indicated that this affair could be linked to the Triad mafia. What was initially suspected to be a series of drug-related homicides targeting Beijing’s elite has now gone cold turkey when autopsy reports showed no signs of attack or poisoning. The current events are believed to be tied with the deaths of another 10 Chinese countrymen who were all using rhinoceros horn medicine. Horn powder samples were collected from the 14 victims and are currently being analyzed by the criminal division of the Beijing Police Department. If one adds the undetermined deaths that have occurred countrywide within the last year to the recent ones, the tally rises to an alarming 154. Suspicions arises further when crowds are now worried that their already sparse medicine might be cut by TCM practitioners.  A press conference will be held at 14:00 today regarding the current investigation. In the meanwhile, Chief Commissioner Chong has requested that all rhino horn produce be removed from shelves as it is yet unclear whether its use is responsible for these deaths.
